Bought this dehumidifier for a full size bathroom. This unit runs in automatic mode all 24x7. Removes excess moisture keeping the mildew and mold away. Very quiet. Drain it directly down the tub.

Upon opening the package I found this dehumidifier quite compact. The tank looks small but it is still able to hold a day’s water capacity. I like that it includes a hose which I can drain it continuously. This is convenient so that I don’t need to empty the tank everyday. My intention is to put it in my bathroom as sometimes the humidity is high there after I bath. I find this device is good for small enclosed space. I don’t suggest using it in open area like the basement as it won’t be powerful enough. For basement you need a much bigger and more powerful unit. I like the operation is quiet as it is only 35-40 dB about 3ft away. And it is nice that it has a sleep mode which can even turn down the noise further. I also like that it has a timer which I can control the period of time it runs.

It is good that the seller gives 1 year of warranty. This is important for any electric devices that I purchase. I haven’t tested this device long enough. So I am going to give it a rating of 4 stars now. I may upgrade it when I have a chance to test it further. Overall the first impression of this device is good quality.

We are using this in our RV. It is quiet and effective. We set it up to drain into our kitchen sink. Great value for the money! Would definitely recommend!

My photo shows this dehumidifier next to a standard sink faucet. As you can see it is smaller than expected, which isn't a bad thing if you want to use it like I am going to. I will be running the hose from the dehumidifier directly into the sink, so the bucket isn't needed. In that sense this takes up little to no counterspace if you can set it near a sink. The water tank is small, so if you have high humidity, expect to empty it daily or figure out a hose solution

When it runs, it is near whisper quiet, the noise of our air purifier is louder than this is. The settings on the top are easy to tap through and set up. Once it is set you don't have to do much more then empty the water

I don't think this is overly powerful for larger rooms, so your milage will vary. We are using it to reduce humidity when we turn off the AC during peak energy hours. Due to heat/cool effects, humidity slowly builds in our home until the AC kicks on again post peak. This is powerful enough to keep humidity rising during that time in our front room alone. I wouldn't think this has enough power for large spaces

I'm curious how this will function over a longer time. At this time, we are pleased with it; however, these types of things tend to have issues months down the line. If it does, I'll update my review then

This small dehumidifier is designed to cover about 400 square feet. It has a 24 auto-off timer and an adjustable humidity control. I like that it doesn't take up much space and is portable. I got this to reduce a mildew smell in a small hallway bathroom. Anytime the shower is used it brings out musty odors due to limited ventilation. I've tried replacing the vent fan and keeping the door open as much as possible, but it still smells musty most of the time. This little unit immediately started drying out the room and I think in a few days it will make a real difference. It runs really quiet and so far has been reliable and effective. It's small, but mighty.

Before I get to some of the details of this dehumidifier, I want to add some context. This is not a device that can dehumidify an entire floor or even wing of a house. It's a small unit meant to do a relatively small room such as a bedroom, closet, or help in a bathroom. All that being said, we are using this unit in our bedroom, on a table near the door to the bathroom. The exhaust fan in that room isn't great and I thought this would be helpful. It actually is a help with humidity in that area. There were no issues with the dehumidifier operation and it seems to match the task at hand pretty well. It is well made, even a bit on the solid, husky side. The controls are easy to learn, and it basically gets the job done. It is very much sized for an application like this so judge your need accordingly. We use this unit only when showering, and while it makes some noise it's big deal considering we already have the shower and an exhaust fan running. We usually let the unit run for a bit until we are ready to leave the room to go on with our day.

For such a relatively small device, the 64-ounce (1/2 gallon) water storage tank is a big help. We only empty it every 3 or 4 days so it is pretty convenient. It's also small enough that if you needed to move it to other places occasionally it wouldn't be a big deal.

If your needs match this unit it is a wonderful device. But, realistically, it does have limits so that needs to be a part of the buying decision process.

AEOCKY VivaSilent Small space dehumidifier. 64 ounce tank, or use included hose. Not made for basements. For use in smaller rooms of 400 square feet or less. It weighs 4.2lbs, so it's easily moved around. It's also pretty quiet, so wouldn't be an issue in a bedroom or quiet area. It's comfortable to be around and with the reduction in humidity improve the environment. It does have a sleep mode that slows the fan and makes it quieter, but I haven't needed it. It comes with the machine, hose, instructions, and there is a video online to watch before you use it if you like. Note that when you turn it off, the fan will run a bit before shutting off, so don't think that there is something wrong. If you use the hose, make sure it's pushed all the way in to avoid leaking as it goes in a few inches and snugs around a plastic end piece. It does pull a decent amount of water out of the air and is pretty effective for smaller areas. It's been easy to use just pushing a couple buttons to turn it on and choose the level of humidity you would like to aim for, or just set to run all the time, or use the timer to set the time you'd like it to be on. It's also small enough that it is off to the side and not in the way. It's a nice looking machine too. The price has dropped, so it's a better deal at about $80 at this time. This is generally a good quality brand that make different machines for the home.

Before purchasing this petite dehumidifier, I made sure to read all the specs. Because it is smaller than other units, I was not surprised to find their recommendations that this unit be used specifically in bathrooms, RVs and closets because it is specifically designed for small spaces. It is not recommended for basements, as a large area will not concentrate the humidity that needs to be removed. This has performed well for me so far in a laundry room that has no exterior ventilation, a musty RV being prepared for summer camping and my daughter's bedroom at her house. This is super easy to transport, set up and maintain. We have another large unit that is about twenty inches high. It's bulky and won't fit easily into a closet, for instance. This small unit actually does a good job of reducing humidity, and that in turn reduces the likelihood of moldy walls, stinky closets, musty bathrooms and condensation building up in RVs. I also really appreciate the auto shut off, because I don't always have time to check the water tank and the auto shut off prevents the tank from being over filled. It's also very quiet and doesn't frost up a quickly as our big unit, which can happen especially if you don't heat your house very high. At the time I purchased this it was being offered for $59. Excellent bargain for preventing stinky, damp, mildewy areas in small spaces. Keep expectations reasonable and you will be happy with the unit.

This smaller dehumidifier provides HUGE reduction in all water and odor areas. Removing that "damp smell" is not easy, however, with the use of this mighty dehumidifier in offering uses. The size is perfect for areas within a personal home? With 64 oz tank for a lot of water removal from air in space. I barely heard it when placed in the room beside my bedroom. This comes with a very nice piece of drainage hose. I assume that is for a larger amount of pull off than what I have and the tube provides the water to empty directly into floor or sink drain? I cannot speak on that in all honesty as I have not had the use for that extensive amount of serious removal, and hope I do not need anytime upcoming. But if you do? This provides the resolve for your needs in direct drain run off. There are instructions included for each area of use, so just need to inform yourself on the use of this drain tubing.
